Coast to coast, big or small, FlexCourt is the premier choice for all.
When Dwyane Wade and his family decided to replace their old, outdated court, they reached out to FlexCourt to see how we could create a space for their family to enjoy. FlexCourt was thrilled to work with Dwyane and his family – from building the design to seeing everything come together with the installation and implementation of our courts.
What We Did to Replace the Old Court
First, we came in and tore out the old, faded, outdated court. Then we needed to do some minor surface repair before we started laying the new court. Once the court was installed, we added a brand new hoop and bleachers along with tiles for an extended playground.
The Design and Steps Behind the New Court
The court you see in these photos features our ProStep tiles. It also includes Wade’s custom logo, which we were able to replicate onto the court. The colors we used for the design are our signature red, black, and white. Check out our Build a Court app and start designing a similar court for your backyard. Added Accessories and Extended Playground
An additional 200 sq. ft. play area was also added to the backyard (note the black tiles) where the playset was placed. For this area, we used our playground safety tiles, which are great for small children because of their padded fall height resistance. Dwyane chose a new basketball hoop for his court and he also accessorized his new court with a new set of bleachers – both of which are available in our accessories packages. We then had our partners come in to add the final touch; the playset.
